Marion is a popular facilitator of workshops and Board retreats. Her expertise includes strategic planning, board development, governance and harnessing the power of technology. She has published  articles in Charity Channel’s Nonprofit Boards and Governance Review, Major Gifts Review, Canadian Fundraiser and the Texas Youth Commission newsletter.
Marion has over 30 years of engineering and planning experience as an executive at Verizon. She holds BS and MS degrees from New Jersey Institute of Technology and she is a licensed Professional Engineer in NJ. Days before 9/11 she took early retirement and left working in Manhattan behind her. On 9/12 someone who had worked across the street from the World Trade Center moved into her former office. He found a new home quickly and so did she in the nonprofit sector.
After retiring from her first career, Marion decided to volunteer at a variety of Newark, NJ nonprofits - the town where she grew up. Out of that varied volunteer experience grew a passion. And so began her consulting business where she melded years of corporate executive experience with experience and passion for the nonprofit sector.

Marion is Board Vice President of Community Agencies Corporation of NJ and on the Board of Protestant Community Centers, Inc. She is a mentor at Saint Vincent Academy in Newark. At NJIT she was a mentor and on the Alumni Leadership Council. She has served on the New Jersey Commission on Technology Education and as a volunteer at the Newark Museum.

Marion is proud to announce that she recently was accepted into the Kellogg Action Lab College of Consultants.  This group of consultants is approved to work with Kellogg grantees.

To learn more about what Marion is working on today, visit her blog where she posts regularly on her work, trends in the nonprofit sector, governance, legal and technology issues, upcoming events and workshops and more, more, more.

Marion most frequently works with nonprofits independently but she also participates in several networks of nonprofit consultants with a wide range of expertise who she can partner with or recommend to others.

Marion 's consulting practice is as much a commitment to service as it is a career. She brings energy, knowledge and ability but most of all a "spirit of service" to each project she works on.
